Sew Days with Vicki: The perfect day of sewing and socialising!

Situated in the beautiful village of Claypole, come along for a day of sewing with your host Vicki, where you can unwind, sew, learn and build friendships.

This is an in person event where you can meet a small group of like minded crafters whilst working on your current project. It is an untutored event however Vicki will be on hand to guide and help you with your projects. Perfect for all skill levels and all types of sewing.

A bit about your host.
 
Vicki has taught herself to sew over the last 10 years gaining experience with a wide range of different types of garments, as well as some quilting over recent years. She found her love of sewing through being able to sew for her children, but also as it has helped her find a love for her own body. She feels liberated by her ability to sew as she no longer feels restricted by ill fitting ready to wear garments that don’t represent her style, and feels passionate about spreading the importance of that to others.

Vicki’s favourite things to make are shirts and quilted garments as she loves all the intricate details. You may recognise Vicki from The Great British Sewing Bee 2023 where she was the semi-finalist.

Is there Food and Drink available?
 
Enjoy unlimited Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits, please let me know if you have any dietary requirements.

There is a kitchen with fridges if you would like to bring along your own lunch.

On site car park, disabled access and toilets. Please email me if you have any specific requirements.

What will be provided?

There will be two overlockers available for use as well as several irons and ironing boards. There will be a cutting station with mats, you just need to bring your own rotary cutter or scissors. It is advisable to cut out before the day so you can make the best use of your time sewing. 

What do I need to bring?

All you need to bring is yourself, project, sewing tools, and sewing machine.

Can I come on my own?

Of course! Come on your own or equally bring a friend, this is going to be a safe and welcoming atmosphere where all are welcome. It's going to be the perfect opportunity to meet new like minded people.

What else will be there?

Do you have any fabrics or patterns siting in your stash that you just don't use anymore? This is your perfect opportunity to bring along those unwanted items and swap them for something else. There will be a Swaps table on the day where you can bring along either a fabric or pattern that you haven't used to swap with someone else. 

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the event minus administration fees (25% of full ticket price), any cancellations less than 30 days before the event are non-refundable
